On August 20, 2025 a traffic accident occurred on the A96 in the direction of Lindau between the Landsberg-Ost and Landsberg-Nord junctions.
A truck and trailer had to come to a halt behind the crash barrier after an evasive maneuver. Both a traffic sign and the crash barrier were damaged, resulting in several tire punctures on the trailer.

Our team arrived with a mobile crane, recovery vehicles and special equipment to secure the scene of the accident and clear the road as quickly as possible.
First of all, the trailer was recovered separately with the help of wide straps, a lifting beam and a mobile crane. Our emergency crews then dismantled the defective wheels and fitted rental wheels to restore the vehicle’s roadworthiness. Our recovery truck with underride lift and additional towing vehicles were used for the removal.

Thanks to the structured approach of our emergency services, it was possible to avoid a lengthy full closure. The A96 was only completely closed for around 20 minutes – otherwise at least one lane remained open to road users at all times during the recovery work.
